Archaeo Analysis has expertise in both Aboriginal and European heritage studies and is able to complete projects based on the following requirements:

Consultation and Negotiation

Contact and negotiation with:

  • Aboriginal community stakeholders with regard to heritage issues.
  • Government heritage agencies with regard to heritage requirements, constraints and assessment methodologies.
  • Other heritage agencies or offices as required

Doug has had extensive experience in community consultation, and has the ability to manage complex community consultation and negotiation with multiple groups. He is experienced in the application of NSW DEC Interim Community Consultation Guidelines Policy with regard to Aboriginal Heritage Studies.

Pre-purchase or pre-initiation heritage assessments

Brief preliminary assessments of potential to encounter heritage constraints in a given development. A valuable tool to assess risk prior to purchase of land for subdivision, or commencing the subdivision of land already in possession.

Desktop and Windscreen Surveys

Research and preliminary surveys to assist with the selection of preferred options.

Aboriginal Site Surveys & Assessment

Field investigation, site recording, significance assessment and management recommendations.

Aboriginal Site Management

Development of management plans and site management strategies for known sites.

Subsurface Testing and Excavation

Test probing for identification of subsurface archaeological material and salvage excavation or collection.
